Weekly Photo Challenge: Curves

Share a picture of CURVES and explain why you chose that picture!

This was the easiest theme, I think, but I don’t know why it took me quite some time before responding with my entry. Could it be because I was thinking of the more intricate and intriguing feminine curves? The favorite subject of most painters and photographers? (LOL).

No. Frankly, I was a bit in a quandary on which curves to post because I got a lot of them: the curves of long and winding road, mosque minarets, the tomb of my parents-in-law, the clouds and mountain tops (if I go by my favorite subject – nature).

But wait. My favorite sport (lawn tennis) dominated my thoughts finally. Yes. I got some tennis rackets and tennis shoes with their own curves and I thought they can be arranged in a way that creates more curves. And here’s what I got.

Please take note how a curve was created by the tips of the racket handles and more curves in between them. Don’t mind my reverse curve in the wrong place – which is an indication that my tennis has not yet done enough 🙂

One way to distinguish a tennis shoes from the rest, is to look at its sole. Tennis shoes do have curves at the soles and their bottom front and back are joined by a narrow lifted bridge at the middle which allow the player to execute more agile moves. The curves allow the player’s feet to have  firm grip on the court floor which is necessary for better and quicker jumps and breaks.

I think I got some interesting curves here. Is my preference for Adidas tennis shoes obvious?

About Maxim Sense

I hope to write for a cause someday but for now all I wanted really is to write for a cost and I haven't started yet, or better still, nobody wants to pay me :-)
